This is my favorite of the easy readers thus far. The illustrations are wonderful and the word repetition is clever and fun. I am also impressed with the theme of Rain and Shine in the stories too.

I absolutely looked this book. The illustrations are incredible and fun. The story line is also fun as it talks about a relationship between a girl and her horse. This is my favorite so far.

Cowgirl Kate and Cocoa have adventures in all kinds of weather. In this book, they have adventures through sunny days and storms, one day finding shelter in a barn.

This easy-to-read book is a fun adventure for beginning readers, and a very pleasant story of two friends who take care of each other and have fun together no matter what. I enjoyed the book and the pictures. It's a more original idea for a beginning reader's tale.

I loved this book. Betsy Lewin is my favorite illustrator and this book keeps up with her usual amazingness. Kate and Cocoa are both enjoyable characters. The themes of the stories, rain or shine, is enjoyable and relatable. What young child doesn't want to go outside regardless of the rain? The only question I had was if everyone can hear Cocoa talk or just Kate? Perhaps this question is answered in the other books.

Cowgirl Kate and Cocoa was a very fun and playful book. It reminded me of the days when all I wanted was to be a cowgirl who owned her own horse.
I was a little let down at the end of the chapters, because I kept wanting to know what happened next and never got the chance to find out.
However, I know many young girls who would love to read this book and enjoy it all the way through.

I really enjoyed this book. Megan, I can totally hear both Cocoa and Kate talk. It's just so cute and I think that students would love acting as cocoa and Kate.
This is an Exceptional good book for it's repetitive phrases and the relationship between Kate and Cocoa.

I thought this story was cute but predictable. I think it definitely accomplishes its goal as a beginning reader. This book would probably appeal more to girls, but boys may possibly be somewhat interested because she is a cowgirl. This book would be a great addition to any lower elementary classroom library.
