I'm not even a cat lover and I thought the subject matter was motivating enough to get me through the book. This book was cute, the repetition seems natural because it's not always the same phrase but a very similar one that is repeated.

The four little kittens in this book are simply adorable! The story is simple and easy to understand, yet still varied and interesting. The repetition of the phrase “I can’t wait” allows the children to chime in during group reading sessions. This book would be a good start to a discussion on how sometimes things seem scary, but they really aren’t that bad. The children can give examples. This book would make a great addition to a classroom library.
