Some of the words in this book are really big and not phonetically decipherable. It would be difficult for a beginning reader to read some of the words and comprehend what they read.
This book is absolutely delightful! I loved every page! I’ll probably going to go out and buy it now. There are so many great things about this book. The plot is one adventure after another, but very easy to understand. It’s interactive—the teacher can read the words, while the student reads all the roars. It’s repetitive (in a good way) so children only need to recognize a few words to have success in reading. Its subject matter (dinosaurs) is high interest for young boys, who may need a little help getting interested in reading. I highly, highly recommend this book!
