I'm already a fan of Fly Guy, and this is one of my favorites. Page turning dynamics? You bet! Who wouldn't want to find out how Fly Guy can possibly play football? Once again, Tedd Arnold's illustrations and text work together to produce an early-reader winner.
I agree, Kris!
I love Fly Guy. Tedd Arnold's story lines are great and his illustrations are TOO MUCH! The illustration on page 13 of Fly Guy on the bench in his helmet made me laugh out loud (I even cried a little).
As I read this, I tried to imagine what the secret play would be and I couldn't come up with a good answer. Arnold sure did. What an imagination!
Yes, I have to agree. Fly Guy is funny and cute. The illustrations are great, and the story line is easy to follow for young readers.
I would definitely use this book in the early elementary classroom. The book is divided into short chapters that are great for beginning readers. I would probably use the book in a first or second grade level reading group.
